Student Conduct

Students at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette have all the rights and privileges expressed in the constitutions and laws of the United States as well as the State of Louisiana. Basic to these rights is the guarantee of freedom of speech and assembly. However, those rights and freedoms must be exercised in such a way that it neither disrupts nor interferes with the academic and administrative processes of the University.

Each student at UL Lafayette has the responsibility of becoming familiar with all published policies, rules, and regulations of the University. In a cooperative effort, the Vice President for Student Affairs; the Dean of Students; and the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities will make every effort to ensure that all adopted policies are available to each student. The student is held accountable for any violation of the policies, rules, and regulations.
